Our little girl has her own unique sense of style. Sometimes, she is girly; other times, not so much. She's a good mix. Well, her hair has been increasingly difficult to brush, so today I decided to take her to the local less expensive salon for a cut. It turned out to be another trim, and she seemed a little nervous having a man cut her hair while the lady who cut it last time helped another customer. Plus, it was busy, unlike her first haircut, when we had the place all to ourself.

She and her family just adopted her sweet boy from Ethiopia. He has the sweetest smile and cutest curls! And a very proud big brother, too!
Someday Buddy will hate that I put pink bunny ears on him. But sis didn't want them at the moment, and Daddy certainly would not wear them!

sis decided to wear her ears after all. and the rainboots came in handy in the wet backyard where the egg hunt took place.

we went out to dinner with some of daddy's co-workers, and lilly kate! in fact, when daddy arrived i was so excited i asked where lilly kate was. i also made a couple of new friends... one human, and one concrete.

lesson learned... and mommy's pride fed

This afternoon, we crossed paths with a sort-of famous person. Hannah and I met the individual, who was super nice and called my baby beautiful. Of course, I know she is, but it made me especially proud to hear it from the person who said it.

After we came inside, I noticed all of her shoes and my shoes all over the living area. "Let's pick our shoes up and put them by the door," I said, picking up one of my sets.

"No fits!" She exclaimed as she picked up her shoes and dropped them in their place. I gave her a big hug and thanked her for obeying right away.

Tonight we visited Daddy' coworker and met 9-week old sweet baby Ben. Hannah loved Ben, but she also loved their pet Boxer, Toby. What a lovable "bear"! Hannah went from loving his kisses to being overwhelmed and intimidated by the sheer size of a "toddler" 2-year old dog that is bigger than any domesticated animal she has ever met. She quickly returned to patting him. I left my camera behind, so no pics to share, but it was quite a cute sight! It was also a welcome change from the hisses that Princess the kitty has been giving her for getting too close.

"hey, you have a big head, too!" joshua, a 2 1/2 year old boy who lives in our neighborhood exclaimed when he met hannah tonight.

joshua was diagnosed with leukemia in october, and just came home from 2 nights in the hospital for his chemo treatments. his mommy is expecting another baby in may. he really looked great considering everything he's going through. please keep him and his parents in your prayers.
