strange additions to toy soup (warning, might be tmi for weak tummies) & mini-sentences

hannah is fascinated with her trinket box, the purple box with daisies and her name painted on it. it was her "honorary flower girl" gift from aunt s & uncle g. well, she's now tall enough to pull it off her bookcase, and she loves playing with the ribbons, bows, hair elastics & bracelets that are inside. she even asked me to put her heart bracelet on her, which i had thought was too small because the last time i tried to put it on her, i couldn't get it clasped. today, she carried her box of treasures into the kitchen and began adding things to her "soup" in progress.

anyway, as i was cleaning out her 2 qt. pot of "toy soup", i came across two things which were a little bit disturbing. a shark's tooth and her umbilical cord. her daddy brought the shark tooth back with him from sapelo island during one of his weekends away at training. i had put the shriveled up cord and the tooth in the trinket box and forgotten about them. hannah found them today. considering that she had also been putting ice cubes in her "toy soup", let's just say the cord stump was not exactly a pleasant find. today, over 19 months after her birth, the remainder is on its way to a landfill.

on a much less gross note, every now and then, hannah says phrases with a couple of different words. tonight, as we went inside for the evening, she exclaimed, "bye, bye frow-frow" to the flowers.
